The Chrismouse Story

VITAL CHILDREN' S THEATRE COMPANY is pleased to announce their production of "THE CHRISMOUSE STORY," a holiday musical for children, written and directed by MICHAEL SCHLOEGL. Performances begin December 2nd and run Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Sundays at 12:30 p.m., through December 17th. Vital Theatre Company is located at 432 West 42nd Street, 3rd floor, between 9th and 10th Avenues.
Brimful of familiar holiday songs, “THE CHRISMOUSE STORY” tells the story of a young mouse named Chris and his quest to understand the meaning of Christmas. From the attic where he lives, Chris can see the family below celebrating, eating and giving gifts to each other at that special time of year. But it is not until he defies the family cat, and ventures down into their home, that he discovers what Christmas is truly about and is able to bring the holiday spirit to his own family.

Playwright and Director MICHAEL SCHLOEGL is a founding member of Vital Theatre Company where he kicked off Vital's Children's Theatre program with his production of Three Bears and a Babe. He has also served as Technical Director, Lighting Designer, Stage Manager and Costume Designer on a numerous productions. Michael is currently touring in the Midwest and the East Coast as "Slim Goodbody." His original cabaret acts include It’s Up in the Air!, Drag Through the Seasons, and the second annual holiday musical extravaganza A Cookie Korquie Christmas, which will play at the Trilogy Theatre December 12th through December 16th.

Featured in the cast are ALEXIS ADAIR, TODD GORDON and J.T. PATTON.

VITAL THEATRE COMPANY is dedicated to establishing a permanent home where the creative impulses of theatre artists can be nurtured and developed. In addition to examining existing works, the company’s mission is to provide a thorough developmental process for emerging artists, and to build a sense of community by offering affordable, educational entertainment for young audiences.
