Come and take a ride with Henry as he travels through generations of America's diverse and exciting history. Some of the stops include: the writing of the U.S. Constitution, the Suffragettes Movement, Rosa Parks's historic bus ride and the first U.S. landing on the moon! VITAL'S second offering is ANIMAL OF THE YEAR music and lyrics by Larry Bortniker & book by Sally Deering and Larry Bortniker. Live from the Animal Bowl in Critter City, California, it's the annual Animal of The Year Pageant! Join Annabelle the Cat, Brenda the Police Dog, Harry the Moose, Jojo the Space Monkey and Lightning the Racehorse in their quest for the crown. The pageant seems to be running along smoothly, but when the underdog gains the lead, it appears someone has plans to sabotage everything. Will the true winner really come out on top? In this musical comedy the audience gets to be the judge and help pick The Animal of The Year!
ANIMAL OF THE YEAR runs Sundays @ 1:00 p.m and 3:00 p.m. November 10th through the 24th then continues Saturdays @ 1:00 p.m. and Sundays @ 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. from November 30th to December 22nd.

The third show of the season is THE NASTIEST DRINK IN THE WORLD by MARK LOEWENSTERN. In this fun retelling of an African folk tale, audiences become an active part of King Fredipus' kingdom. Once they hear a few of the king's laws they learn that silliness reigns. The strong-willed Fredipus has assembled a court of advisors who allow his ridiculous ideas to go unaltered, shield him from any criticism, and shower him with undue praise. Finally, one lone advisor decides that enough is enough when the king suggests a new law that the brave advisor knows NO one will like, especially not the young audience members. She devises a juicy plan to help the king swallow his pride. In this play that tells us not to be afraid to say what we know is right, one person and a little creativity brings about a world of change!

THE NASTIEST DRINK IN THE WORLD runs Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. and Sundays at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. January 4th through February 23rd.

The final production of VITAL CHILDREN'S THEATRE has yet to be determined. It will perform Saturdays and Sundays March 8th through April 27th.
