VITAL THEATRE COMPANY is pleased to announce the beginning of their Children’s Theatre Season. “THREE BEARS AND A BABE,” a children’s musical fairy tale, written, directed and choreographed by MICHAEL SCHLOEGL, will run Saturdays from October 9th through November 20th. All performances are at 11:00 am. Vital Theatre Company is located at 432 West 42nd Street on the 3rd floor (between 9th and 10th Avenues).
“THREE BEARS AND A BABE” was first presented in July for groups from Manhattan Plaza Youth Services and the Hartley house as part of Vital Theatre Company’s initiative to introduce area children to theatre. This one hour musical is a clever and fresh adaptation of the popular fairy tale Goldilocks and the Three Bears, incorporating classic songs such as “Tradition,” and “I Enjoy Being a Girl.”

In addition to serving as Vital’s Technical Director and Production Designer, Michael Schloegl works with a number of schools and children’s organizations throughout the Tri-state area. His most recent projects include a summer theatre program with high school students in Oyster Bay, New York. He teaches extended day dance programs for elementary schools in Hoboken, New Jersey, and recently directed, choreographed and designed a production of “Grease,” with 70 junior high students from Demarest Middle School.
